Magnetic beads cleanup on flowbot® ONE

This application note covers how to automate bead clean-up protocols.

The experiment shows how bead clean-up protocols utilizing an automated liquid handing approach, such as the flowbot® ONE, can increase the precision and repeatability of the pipetting steps, thereby reducing the chance of errors and maximizing yield of purified biological materials.

The workflow was performed using a flowbot ONE configured with an 8 channel 2-200 μL pipette module, a magnetic device for bead pelleting and an integrated UV-C light source to minimize contamination between protocols.
